Keep eye on loved ones

A Thornton Heath nursery is using webcams so worried parents can keep an eye on their children.

The owner of the Loving Hands in Leander Road said allowing parents to monitor children gives them peace of mind - and the nursery an edge over its competitors.

The parental webcam service allows parents to watch live images of their child at play, whether they are at work or at home.

Sandra Anderson, a 40-year-old married mum-of-three who also lives in Leander Road, signed her business up to the Nurserycam scheme 18 months ago.

She said: "It was one of the first things I thought of when I was starting my business. I thought that if I could offer parents the opportunity to check on their child online it would give them peace of mind.

"I started searching the internet to see if there was a service like this available and found Nurserycam. I know from my own experience as a mother that leaving your children with strangers to go back to work is very hard.

"You struggle with thinking about whether you did the right thing. With this, parents feel confident that their children are safe and happy and it's also good for my business."
